Greetings, all! I hope this short post finds you and yours well. 🙂
Well, I completed wash day #2 of the ALove4Me Extreme Hair Growth Challenge a day early because that was best, given how busy work is this week. And somehow I ended up using not one single product from my regimen plan. 🤦 I can explain, though . . . 🙂
So I had run out of my Shea Moisture High Porosity Moisture-Correct Masque, which is the prepoo I steam into my hair and with which I detangle. My plan was to restock it, but when I got to the store, the As I Am Olive & Tea Tree Oil CoWash jumped out at me. 🙄 🙃 (Sounds like something a hair product junkie would say, right? LOL.) I picked up the jar and noticed that although the cowash’s price is comparable to that of my holy grail SM High Porosity masque, (1) the cowash contains 4 more ounces than does the SM masque, (2) it contained the ingredient betaine (an actual cleansing agent), and (3) it contained ingredients to address an itchy scalp.
🤷♀️ I ended up walking out of the store with that As I Am cowash instead of a new jar of the Shea Moisture High Porosity Moisture-Correct masque.🙂 Once at home, I applied the cowash, detangled with it, steamed it in, and applied a grapeseed oil rinse over it. After rinsing the cowash and grapeseed oil out of my hair, I used Doux Mousse Def Texture Foam to install twists for a twist out.
And that’s it! I used just 4 products this (co)wash-and-style day (I ended up using my Biosilk Hard Rock Gelee as my edge control). To be honest, it kind of felt like the time for a midweek cowash-and-style instead of time for a full wash day.

The foam smells lovely (husband noticed!), and it dried fast! I REALLY like this twist out. Pictures just don’t do the volume justice. I have gotten several compliments on it. 👍 Yay! 😀
And that’s wash day #2 of the hair growth challenge. I hope you enjoyed this post! As always, thanks for reading! 🙂
Until next time!
Yvette ❤️
