2018 Wash and Go Using Bronner Brothers Firm Hold Curling Gel

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! I’m Yvette, and as of November 1, 2016 I am doing a long term (5-year!) personal challenge in the areas of hair, body, soul/spirit, and career. At this blog I share my plans, strategies, progress, resources, and reflections during the 5-year challenge.

This blog displays posts from the latest (newest) to the oldest. However, you can click POST FIRSTS TO LATEST here or IN THE MENU ABOVE, and that will permit you to view/read posts in chronological order, starting with the first post written.

Below are the basics of what I’m aiming to accomplish.

  • Hair: The goal is healthy, mid-back-length hair. I have natural, 4b/4a/3c type hair that is  naturally highly porous. As of November 1, 2016, my longest hair layers are just below arm-pit-length. The biggest obstacle to my hair goals is tangling and damage to the hair as I address tangling.
  • Body: The goal is to have a flat stomach, have cardiovascular fitness, have high flexibility, be toned, and weigh between 115-125 pounds. I am 5 foot 2.5 inches in height. I am in my early 40s. I’ve got 25 pounds to lose and keep off.
  • Soul/Spirit: The goal is to worry less, process CONCERN less, trust more, and spend more seconds of the day in peace and joy and wonder and appreciation than anything. I am a christian who can also appreciate the wisdom of the Tao. Having attended legalistic churches in my early christian life, for a decade now I have been doing a lot of study and reading to have a more spiritual, grace-based way of discipleship.
  • Career: The goal is to transition from my current career to my infinitely more peaceful and sense-making target career. A main point is to earn more so that I can better support myself and those I love, and to earn more peacefully. To make the career transition, I need to earn the funds required to do so, take prerequisite course work, obtain prerequisite field hours, and complete and graduate from a 2-year program.

I am SUPER EXCITED and grateful. I am already having a blast with this as I gradually incorporate small changes over time to put me on track for meeting these worthy goals.

Again, thank you so much for stopping by! Please feel free to post your ideas, comments, questions, and tips throughout the blog or here at this page. And of course I appreciate any well-wishes. šŸ˜€ Encouraging is my super power, and I’ve learned how critical it is to receive it as well!

Many blessings, and take care! ā¤
